Sustainability Planning

Integrated sustainable solutions are not just what we offer our clients; they are an integral part of our firm’s everyday life.

CORPORATE:
Over the past four years, 4Site has worked on integrating sustainability into the way we do business, from incorporating recycling to selecting materials for our work environment. Currently, we are establishing the initial “environmental footprint” of our facility and various work activities, and we are evaluating opportunities to reduce or offset this footprint. Over time, we will continue to integrate sustainability considerations into our internal practices, policies and programs. 4Site is also currently serving as the ambassador for Seven-Star Inc. to coordinate with them for a “Green Cities” Alabama conference.

Sustainable design
Design that seeks to avoid depletion of energy, water, and raw material resources; prevent environmental degradation caused by facility and infrastructure development over their life-cycle; and create environments that are livable, comfortable, and safe and that promote productivity.

Green
A subset of sustainability that focuses on the life-cycle environmental impacts of materials and encouragesconsumers to first reduce and second recycle or reuse.

Life-cycle Analysis
Examines total environmental impact and business cost/benefit assessment of a product through eachstage of its existence, from raw materials acquisition through manufacturing, packaging, shipping, installation, indoor air quality, performance, and end-of-use resource recovery.
